The Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) recently signed an agreement with Mail Boxes Etc. (MBE), the world’s largest franchisor of retail business, communication and postal service centers, to provide full-line service business communication centers to 17 selected continental United States Navy Exchanges.
"We are excited to have a company with as much experience as Mail Boxes Etc. become a part of the Navy Family Store team," said Rear Adm. Richard T. Ginman, commander, NEXCOM. "Our customers are going to benefit greatly from the variety of services MBE will offer."
MBE will offer Navy Exchange customers pack-and-ship services, mailbox rentals, copy services, parcel receiving and pickup from all major carriers, faxing, money transfers, office supplies, laminating and binding, desk-top publishing, notary service, e-mail and Internet services. All MBE locations will be independently owned and operated and services will vary by location.

"Non-traditional sites, such as Navy Exchanges, give MBE the opportunity to bring our services to the consumer, regardless of where they live, work or travel."
MBE locations will be offered at Navy Exchanges at Naval Station Everett, Wash., Naval Base San Diego, Calif., Naval Air Station, North Island, Calif., Miramar, Calif., Naval Recruit Training Center Great Lakes, Ill., Naval Postgraduate School Monterey, Calif., Naval Air Station China Lake, Calif., Navy Construction Battalion Center Gulfport, Miss., Naval Air Station Corpus Christi, Texas, Naval Air Station Meridian, Miss., Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Md., Naval Support Activity New Orleans, La., Naval Station Mayport, Fla., Naval Air Station Lemoore, Calif., Naval Air Station Pensacola, Fla. and Naval Base Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
NEXCOM is hoping to have MBE locations open by the end of the year at NEXs North Island, Calif., San Diego, Calif., Pensacola, Fla., Everett, Wash. and Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
