(MBE), the world’s largest franchisor of retail shipping, postal and business services, was recently awarded the bronze medal for the category of Delivery Systems and Products at the 2003 EFFIE® Awards, held at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City’s Times Square.
The "Real Help" holiday campaign debuted November 25, 2001, when MBE began its new advertising campaign, "There’s help in here. Real help.™" The campaign message highlighted the fact that MBE associates are specially trained in packing to the highest industry standards and that MBE centers help customers get their important packages to their loved ones on time and intact.

The next segment shows a photo of a little girl with a voice-over saying, "This Christmas you refinished it for her daughter. Who are you going to trust to get it there on time and in one piece?...That’s where Mail Boxes Etc. comes in. We have 4,400 locations worldwide. We’ll pack your item to the highest shipping standards to make sure it arrives on time, without losing a shingle."
"The Real Help holiday campaign demonstrated the power of our new integrated marketing strategy where our franchisees successfully coordinated the national, regional, and local store marketing efforts together," said Kurt Schusterman, MBE’s senior vice president of marketing. "By utilizing an integrated marketing approach, we achieved unprecedented results and grew revenue to an all-time high."
Creative development for the MBE "Real Help" holiday television, radio and print campaign came from Doner Advertising in Southfield, MI.
