SAN DIEGO (February 16, 2000) - Mail Boxes Etc. (MBE) has appointed
Kurt M. Schusterman to the position of senior vice president of marketing. In his role,
Schusterman will oversee MBE's worldwide marketing, public relations and advertising
programs designed to enhance the company's position as the leading business services
provider to the small-office/home-office (SOHO) market.
Among key projects, Schusterman and his team will be working with MBE's advertising and
public relations agencies of record, Ogilvy & Mather, Los Angeles, and Hill & Knowlton,
respectively, to implement a comprehensive strategic plan in support of MBE's recent
technology initiatives and subsequent entry into the world of e-commerce. Additionally,
Schusterman will lead initiatives to further the company's customer intimacy focus through
one-to-one marketing and customer relationship management.

Schusterman has nearly 20 years of experience in the fields of strategic marketing,
sales and advertising. Among his many accomplishments, he served as senior vice
president of sales and marketing with XTRACASH ATM, Inc. and senior vice president and
chief marketing officer for Texas Commerce Bank. Most recently, he served as vice president
and chief operating officer for TRM Corporation.
Schusterman holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from Miami University of Ohio and a
master's degree in advertising from Northwestern University.
